Q: How does this differ from running video ads on Google's Adsense?A: Vidsense™ allows you to have all of the video viewing take place ON YOUR SITE. Vidsense™ delivers the viewer to you. Also, Vidsense™ is content based. We generate clicks by matching your demographics to the video content that will play on the Vidsense™ video player...all on YOUR site and you only pay for the click.
Q: Can I choose which individual sites traffic comes from?
A: The network is a diverse collection of websites. Because Vidsense™ sells below these sites' normal pricing, confidentiality is required to protect their rate cards. We cannot divulge the identity of the websites.
Q: Can I choose categories of websites from which traffic is sent to us?
A: Yes, but we do not recommend this. The Cost/Benefit equation should be carefully considered. Before one adds the expense of micro-targeting, we strongly recommend that you try an RON (Run-Of-Network) test because there is an inherent self-selection process that occurs through clicking on relevant links.
Q: We have our own video clips. Can we promote these clips inside the Vidsense™ network?
A: Certainly! You do not need to utilize the content located at our partner, EVTV1. We can send our traffic to your video clips no problem. We highly recommend that you only send traffic to fully licensed clips. This protects all parties involved from lawsuits.
Q: How can we be sure that we will not be associated with any porn sites?
A: Vidsense™ strictly prohibits ANY websites dealing with pornography from being part of its network.
Q: How many clicks can I expect upon roll out?
A: Each campaign is different so testing will determine the universe. That is why we suggest testing to see. Obviously a campaign that will accept worldwide traffic and be entertainment based will yield more clicks that US Only traffic in the health related field.
Q: How many websites are in the Vidsense™ Network?
A: As of January, there are over 20,000 sites in the Network. This number grows every week.
Q: Ok, how does this exactly work?
Q: Can your content be played on our existing video player?
A: No. In order to comply with our license arrangements, all video must be played through our proprietary Vidsense™ player, equipped with our own DRM system.
Q: A friend of mine has a cousin who has a video website and they might like to be part of the Vidsense™ network. Can I introduce them to you?
A: Yes, but realize that we are very selective and most sites are not invited in. Network membership is by invitation only, and there are many considerations going into qualifying for Vidsense™ membership.
Q: Are there any other networks similar to Vidsense™?
A: Vidsense™ is the first and only network that is exclusively pay-per-click.
